In Year 5, we have started reading Beowulf. We have been reading the texts in pairs, predicting the next event in the book.
We have been actively listening to each other as we read and have been participating in sharing our thoughts, including the resolution against the monster Gredndel.
We imagined how Hrothgar would welcome the great hero, Beowulf, after he has rescued his people from an evil monster. We wrote a script, rehearsed, and then bravely performed our dialogues in character in front of the whole class.
