Head Gardeners

The Head Gardeners are responsible for:

  • Being responsible for documenting the work of their classes throughout the year
  • Developing an understanding of food and how things grow
  • Taking responsibility for ensuing the garden in the Backlands is well maintained
  • Attending community events to sell produce

Award Winning!

In September 2019 Orchard were successful winners of the London Children’s Flower Society’s ‘School Garden Achieved Under the Most Difficult Conditions’ Award. The Head Gardeners alongside Cassie, our Gardener in Residence, work tirelessly to ensure our school grounds reflect opportunities to engage in creating an engaging ‘green’ focused environment in an inner city space as well as focus on sustainability. We are very proud of our achievement!
