This week, the children currently accessing school in Year 1 used concrete resources to create graphs from discrete data. They used their graphs to ask and answer questions. The CPA model (concrete, pictorial, abstract) helps children understand their learning better. At home, you could use buttons, pebbles, straws, lego bricks etc to help your child with their maths learning. Please speak to your child’s class teacher if you would like any support with this.
