Year 3 and 4 Language Ambassadors met this week to rehearse presenting and sharing the phrase of the week with their classes. This term, our language ambassadors are supporting their peers to ask ‘Qué día es hoy?’ (What day is it today?) and respond with the date in Spanish. This requires pupils to be role models for the language and pronunciation, encouraging their classmates to share what they know and build confidence in their speaking skills. Pupils were enthusiastic and used Spanish instructions – ‘escucha’ (listen), ‘levanta la mano’ (put your hand up), ‘repite, por favor’ (repeat, please) to ensure pupils knew what to do and joined in!
