Visit from the Mayor

School councils from Orchard, Southwold and Hoxton Garden held a joint meeting to meet with Hackney Mayor Philip Granville. Mayor Granville took a great interest in the ideas and questions raised from each school, which all related to current projects the school councils are undertaking such as making the roads around our schools more safe and ensuring that our local parks have enough recycling facilities to ensure that they are kept clean.  Mayor Granville promised to come back and meet with our school councils once he had looked into some of the issues they had raised.
