Florence visits Year One!

Year 1 started their History learning this week with a trip back in time to meet Florence Nightingale! They learnt all about her journey from an animal loving girl who played doctors with her pets to becoming one of the most famous women in the world. The children acted the parts of the sick soldiers in the Crimean War and the nurses, led by Florence, who cleaned up the hospitals and made them safer places to be and get better.
