The Year 5 and 6 Debate Mate club members took part in Round 1 of the Urban Debate League at William Tyndale School, Islington. The motions included ‘This house would ban violent video games’ and ‘This house would make sugary drinks more expensive’. Our teams showed excellent teamwork during planning time and spoke clearly and confidently, winning 3 out of 4 debates. Congratulations! The teams will be competing Round 2 later in the Spring term.
