Day 5 – Our Final Visit to our Partner School
Today pupils were excited to return to CEIP Maximiliano Gil to spend more time with their new Spanish friends.
The morning began with a demonstration of Lucha Canaria, a traditional Canarian wrestling sport. Pupils listened carefully as the PE teacher explained the rules, and it wasn’t long before many pupils were keen to take part themselves.
Next, the Year 5 and 6 pupils organised a treasure hunt in Spanish, working in mixed teams to solve clues and complete challenges around the school. It was wonderful to see everyone getting involved, communicating with one another and working together so enthusiastically.
At the end of our visit, pupils presented small gifts to the teachers and pupils to thank them for their kindness, hospitality, and the effort they put into hosting us during the week.
Back at the hotel, we enjoyed a picnic lunch by the pool and an afternoon of swimming and celebrating together — the perfect way to end a fantastic study visit.
Our bags are packed, our souvenirs carefully chosen, and our hearts and minds are full of the wonderful experiences we have shared this week. We cannot wait to tell everyone back at school about our adventures.
Parents, we look forward to seeing you tomorrow ❤️
