Day 4 – Year 5 at Kench Hill

After breakfast, we went to play before doing our activities. We played basketball, football, ping pong, pool and even swung on the swings. Some of us even made grass whistles. We then visited the Rare Breed Centre in Kent and met some animals. We were very excited to see owls, pigs, birds of prey and the goats. We even got to pet some of them. We saw Pygmy and Bagot goats with their kids, cockerels, lambs, piglets, chicks, ducks, rabbits and guinea pigs. We then saw a range of butterflies in the butterfly tunnel. We ensured we were gentle and calm around the animals. Some of us took part in the pig race, running for the first stretch with pig…

Some of us took part in the pig race, running for the first stretch with pig food before shepherding them round obstacles to the finish line.
After this, we headed to the Mysterious Woods for an obstacle course. We all gave every element of the course a try including monkey bars, rope swings and balancing poles.
After a long day full of activities, we had a campfire with freshly made shortbread cookies. It was definitely the best day yet!
