Day 3 – Turing Tenerife Trip March 2025

Today we returned to our partner school for another memorable day of collaboration. Excitement was high as pupils reunited with their new Spanish friends. The highlight of the day was working together to create a bilingual podcast using the school’s professional radio equipment. Pupils took on the roles of radio presenters, confidently interviewing each other in both Spanish and English, and learning interesting and surprising facts along the way. It was inspiring to see how naturally the pupils communicated across languages and embraced the technology. To show their appreciation, our pupils wrote heartfelt thank-you cards and presented thoughtful gifts to the teachers. While it was sad to say goodbye, plans are already in motion to continue connecting through future learning…

It was inspiring to see how naturally the pupils communicated across languages and embraced the technology. To show their appreciation, our pupils wrote heartfelt thank-you cards and presented thoughtful gifts to the teachers. While it was sad to say goodbye, plans are already in motion to continue connecting through future learning projects back in London.

In the afternoon, we explored the heart of Puerto de la Cruz, taking in the local sights and stunning sea views. Pupils ended the day reflecting on their experiences in their Spanish diaries, followed by some well-earned downtime. Next up: a visit to El Teide National Park—we’re ready for our volcano adventure!
