Year 5 Kench Hill Residential – Week 1 First day at Kench Hill the children did bread making, wild gardening and food tasting of which consisted of rhubarb. They had lunch in the sun and in the afternoon experienced orienteering. They also met the animals and participated in mini beast pond fishing.
Our Samba Band is in full rehearsal using the instruments awarded to us at the Mayor of Hackney Music Awards. The Orchard Orchestra is also growing with our new guitarist and percussion section! They are all getting ready for the Federation Festival of Music in July!

Year 4 went to London Zoo to look at different animals and the habitats in which they live. The children made their way through the zoo, seeing giraffes, birds, tigers, gorillas, insects and many more. They especially enjoyed walking through Butterfly Paradise and admiring the beautiful butterflies and moths from all over the world.
